Radiesse 3D Vector Lift

What is Radiesse?

Radiesse is a dermal filler composed of calcium hydroxyapatite microspheres suspended in a water based gel carrier. Over time the water based gel is absorbed and at the same time the calcium hydroxyapatite microspheres stimulate the production of collagen producing long lasting volume replacement. A youthful face typically has a ‘V’ shaped appearance. With ageing the cheek fat pads waste and migrate downwards, the chin becomes broader and jowls develop resulting in an upside-down ‘V’ shaped appearance.

How can Radiesse help?

Radiesse is a unique volumising filler. By replacing lost volume in the mid face a more youthful appearance can be restored by turning the ‘V’ back.

What does treatment involve?

Treatment involves an initial consultation with Dr Kent where expectations and achievable outcomes are discussed. If you wish to proceed with treatment a specially formulated topical anesthetic is applied to the face. In addition the Radiesse will be mixed with a local anesthetic to minimise discomfort. Depending on the areas to be injected Dr Kent will either use a needle or a blunt cannula or a combination of both. Careful pre treatment planning will minimise the number of injection/entry points into the skin.

What can I expect after treatment?

You may experience some transient injection related side effects after treatment. This include redness, swelling and tenderness at the injection sites. You may feel some areas of firmness in the areas treated which can take 72 hours to soften.

Is treatment safe?

Yes, Radiesse is FDA approved (Federal Drug Authority USA) and CE certified. It has an excellent safety profile and over 2 million syringes of Radiesse have been used worldwide. Patch testing is not required prior to use.
